06/February/2013 – Structure Fire – “C” Shift

Incident # 13-0702 – A second structure fire in Station 9’s response area was reported at 17:25, Wednesday afternoon 06-February. Units were activity engaged in firefighting efforts on Bridge Road, when a caller reported a building on fire at 58 Rowe Circle. Engine 19 arrived ten minutes later to find a 12x12 wooden storage building fully involved near a mobile home. Firefighters deployed one 1-3/4 handline to contain the blaze. Most of the building had already collapsed. The home owner advised she found the building burning and did not know what caused the fire. The building and its contents were destroyed. Investigators are working to determine the origin of the fire. Units were the scene for an hour.

Engine 19, Engine 902, Tender 19, Tender 27 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Joey Campbell served as Incident Commander.
