21/February/2013 – Fatal Shooting Incident – “C” Shift

Incident # 13-00960 – A 52 year old man lost his life in a shooting incident that occurred at 1008 Proctor Street, the Chase Lounge. The shooting was reported at 20:40, Thursday 21-February. He is the third person shot at the establishment in less than a month. An altercation occurred inside the lounge, which resulted in the victim being shot multiple times with a large caliber gun. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived within minutes of receiving the dispatch to find the man conscious on the floor in critical condition. He was quickly treated at the scene and rapidly transported to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center to meet with the LifeNet 4 helicopter. The Flight Crew RSIed the man prior to the flight to secure his airway. He was flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston where he passed away several hours later. The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
