13/April/2013 – Fatal Shooting Incident – “C” Shift

Incident # 13-01958 – At 24 year old Colleton County man lost his life in a shooting incident in the 600 block of Francis Street. 9-1-1 received reports of a man being shot on Crosby Street near Francis Street at 18:43 Saturday 13-April. Walterboro Public Safety Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies converged on the area within minutes and found the man lying by the side of Francis Street in front of the Pinebrook Community (Mobile Home Park). Firefighter-Paramedics arrived after Law Enforcement and determined the man had no signs of life. The Colleton County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. While at the scene, Fire-Rescue personnel examined one distraught family member and responded back to the scene 20 minutes later for another family member. Several Law Enforcement agencies are assisting with the investigation.

Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
