20/June/2013 – Medical/Traumatic Injury w/ Air Evacuation

Incident # 13-03326 – Family members found an 85 year old female who was suspected of falling from a porch at her residence in the 700 block of Bethel Road Thursday afternoon 20-June at 14:38. Medic 18’s crew evaluated the patient and due to several issues determined she need to be treated at the Medical University in Charleston. The LifeNet 4 medical helicopter responded to the scene, landing in a spacious front yard near the residence. The patient was transferred to the flight crew without incident and flown to MUSC where the patient remains hospitalized.

Engine 18, Medic 18 and Car 107 responded. Assistant Chief Marty Stallings served as Incident Commander.
