01/September/2013 – Medical Emergency with Air Evac – “C” Shift

Incident # 13-04781 – An adult female suffered a life threating medical emergency at a residence on Turner Lane south of Cottageville Sunday afternoon 01-September at 12:26. Medic 9 requested an additional Medic Unit to assist them on the scene and a Medical Helicopter to fly the patient to the Medical University in Charleston. The patient was treated at the scene, then transported to a field next to a church on Round O Road at Bodison Memorial Drive. LifeNet 4 stationed in Walterboro responded. The patient was transferred to the flight crew without incident and flown to MUSC.

Engine 9, Medic 9, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 109 responded. Fire Commissioner SG Drew served as Incident Commander.
