26/November/2013 – Structure Fire – “A” Shift

Incident # 13-06429 – A 30x30 outdoor building used for storage and a screened in cooker was destroyed in a mid-afternoon fire at 237 Leisure Lane at Bennetts Point. The homeowner returned to his residence to find the building in flames. Firefighters deployed two 1-3/4 handlines to extinguish the fire. The nearby home was not damaged. The occupant advised they had a bonfire the night before in a secured pit. It is suspected the fire was reignited by moderate winds Monday and spread to the building.

Engine 6, Engine 21, Tender 2, Tender 6, Tender 21, Tender 28, Medic 6, Battalion 1 and Car 107 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
