03/January/2014 – Structure Fire – “C” Shift

Incident # 14-00038 – A fire in an exterior wall outlet caused moderate damage to a doublewide mobile home at 5248 Augusta Highway, Friday morning 03-January. Engine 17 arrived to find light smoke at the residence and was directed to the back of the home. Firefighters found flames extending up the back wall of the home. One 1-3/4 handline was deployed and the fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters removed some exterior siding to extinguish fire in the inside wall. The area was checked with a Thermal Imager and no other extension was found. No one was injured in the incident.

Engine 17, Engine 26, Tender 5, Tender 7, Tender 17, Tender 26 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
