31/January/2014 – Structure Fire – “A” Shift Incident # 14-00613 – Firefighters responded to a
structure fire at 2158 Smyly Road Saturday morning 1-February at 01:26.
The initial report came in as an automatic fire alarm from this
location. First arriving units found the single story residential
structure filled with smoke. Upon inspection, the breaker box was
discovered to be on fire. Power was secured to the building and minor
damage was found in the wall around the breaker box. The remainder of
the home and the attic were searched, but there was no other fire
extension away from the point of origin. Units were on the scene for
less than an hour. Engine 7, Engine 18, Tender 7, Tender 26, Medic 18
and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Dan Barb served as Incident
Commander.
