14/February/2014 – Auto vs Pedestrian – “A” Shift Incident # 14-01017 – A 63 year old man received
multiple non-life threatening traumatic injuries after he was struck by a
car Friday morning 14-February. The accident occurred at 11:40 in front of
1593 Bells Highway, the Huddle House restaurant, when a SUV ran into the man
while he rode a bicycle. The SUV crashed the rear of the bike and knocked
the man to the ground. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man at the scene,
immobilized him, then transported to Colleton Medical Center. Walterboro
Public Safety is investigating the accident.
Medic 26 and Car 105 responded. Chief McRoy served as
Incident Commander. |
