21/February/2014 – High Speed MVC – “A” Shift

Incident # 14-01181 – What began as a reported drive by shooting incident in the City of Walterboro, lead to a short police chase when the pursued vehicle failed to negotiate a turn at the corner of Rivers Street and Jackson Street. The incident occurred Thursday evening 20-February at 18:46. The Mazda 626 collided with a day care center and over-turned. Three occupants were quickly apprehended by Sheriff’s Deputies. Two Medic units responded, transporting the three occupants to Colleton Medical Center for evaluation. None had life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Engine 1, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded.
