15-March-2014 – Joint Training with Dorchester County

Twenty Five Firefighters from Colleton and Dorchester Counties participated in a joint training exercise at the Dorchester County Fire Training Site at Station # 3 in Harleyville, Saturday 15-March. The firefighters were put into teams made up from members of both departments. They participated in training scenarios on rescue operations, ladders, firefighter survivability and fire attack with live burns. Dorchester County provided lunch for the all-day event. This was the first formal training endeavor for the departments who’s jurisdictions border each other.
