20/April/2014 – High Speed MVC – “C” Shift

Incident # 14-02476 – A single vehicle, high speed MVC sent four people to the hospital Sunday morning 20-April. The accident occurred at 8:44 on Sniders Highway near Schoolhouse Road, when a Ford pickup truck left the roadway and rolled over several times. The occupants were wearing seatbelts and the children were restrained in safety seats. Medic 18 arrived and began treating the injured. They requested one additional Medic Unit. All four patients were treated for a variety of traumatic injuries. Medic 18 transported the adult female patient emergent to Colleton Medical Center. They also transported an infant for evaluation. Medic 1 transported an adult male and a 5 year old male to CMC. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 4, Medic 1, Medic 18 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape served as Incident Commander.
