25/May/2014 – Shooting Incident – “A” Shift

Incident # 14-03121 – Two teenagers were injured during a shooting incident which occurred on Patterson Street Sunday morning 25-May around 02:00. At 02:11, a southbound car traveling on Green Pond Highway near Gervais Street, flagged down a Deputy Sheriff. Two windows on the car were shattered and several bullet holes were found in the driver’s side. The vehicle was occupied by four teenagers. A 17 year old male received a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the right should and a 16 year old male complained of having glass in his eyes. Both juveniles were treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics and then transported to the Colleton Medical Center. The other two youths were not injured. The Sheriff’s Office and Walterboro Public Safety are investigating the incident.
