30/October/2014 – MVC with Overturned Vehicle – “A” Shift

Incident # 14-06353 – Six people were injured, including three children, in a two car MVC at the intersection of Live Oak Street and Fourth Street Thursday afternoon 30-October at 15:36. Engine 19 and Medic 19 arrived to find one over-turned vehicle in a ditch after the BMW was struck broadside by a second vehicle. Two additional ambulances were requested. All patients were treated at the scene and transported to Colleton Medical Center. Most injuries were not life threatening, but one adult female suffered serious injuries. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Traffic on Live Oak Street was detoured for about an hour.

Engine 19, Medic 9, Medic 13, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded. Battalion Chief Dan Barb served as Incident Commander.
