29/January/2015 – Traumatic Injury with Air Evac – “B” Shift

Incident # 15-000543 – An adult male received a self-inflicted single GSW to the abdomen at a Quail Creek home Thursday afternoon 29-January at 14:46. Firefighter-Paramedics quickly treated the man at the scene and placed a medical helicopter on standby. He was rapidly transported to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center to meet with LifeNet 4. After transferring the patient to the Flight Crew, he was flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Car 105 and Car 109 responded. Captain Mike Duffy served as Incident Commander.
