31/January/2015 – Auto Pedestrian with Air Evac / “A” Shift

Incident # 15-00589 – A three year old boy received life threatening injuries after he was accident driven over by a full-sized pickup truck Saturday evening 31-January. 9-1-1 was notified at 21:40 of the low speed accident that occurred in a yard in the 900 block of Logan Farm Road. The small child was carried back into the residence. Firefighter-Paramedics found the patient on a bed and began treating him in the house. A medical helicopter was requested as the boy was stabilized and immobilized. He was transported from the scene by Medic 26 to field off of Logan Farm Road approximately ¼ mile from the scene. LifeNet 7 responded and flew him to the Pediatric Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The Sheriff’s Office and SC Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 105 responded. Battalion Chief Dan Barb served as Incident Commander.
