18-23 May – Annual Pumper Testing

Our Logistics Division with the help of several off-duty personnel conducted annual pumper testing the week of 18 May through 23 May. The crew began at 07:00 each day running nearly until dark. They relocated and/or transported 43 Engines, Quints and the ARFF during the week. All units passed with only a few adjustments required by Fleet Management. Asst. Chief Stallings grilled out for those assisting each day so they did not have to leave the test pit. They were able to test approximately nine units each day.
