30/May/2015 – MVC with Ejection – “B” shift

Incident # 15-02925 – Two people were injured, one critically, after a single vehicle MVC on Possum Corner Road at See See Road Saturday morning 30-May. The incident was reported at 06:15. Fire-Rescue Medic 6 arrived to find a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with massive damage across the road. The southbound pickup truck left the roadway in a curve at a high rate of speed and struck several large pine trees. A 24 year old male had been ejected and was found in a nearby ditch with multiple traumatic injuries. A second ambulance and medical helicopter were requested. Both patients were treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics prior to and during transport. The medical helicopter could not fly due to dense fog. Medic 1 and Medic 6 rapidly transported both patients to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 22, Medic 1, Medic 6, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
