27/November/2015 – Motorcycle MVC – “A” Shift

Incident # 15-06937 – A 22 year old Walterboro man suffered multiple, non-life threatening injuries after he lost control of his motorcycle in the 1100 block of Stokes Road, Friday afternoon 27-November at 14:36. The man was traveling south on Stokes Road when he lost control and entered the ditch on the northbound side of the road. The motorcycle struck a driveway culvert, ejecting the driver. The motorcycle suffered heavy damage and landed in the ditch after hitting a second driveway culvert. The driver also landed in the ditch, but was able to crawl into a yard before responders arrived. He was not wearing a helmet. Initial information indicated the man was unconscious following the crash. Firefighter-Paramedics treated him at the scene, then transported the man to Colleton Medical Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
