14/May/2016 – MVC w Multiple Patients – “B” Shift

Incident # 16-02963 – Two adults and four teenagers were injured in a two car collision at the intersection of Bells Hwy (SC Hwy 64) and Upchurch Lane Saturday evening 14-May. At 19:23 the compact car and minivan collided causing the min-van to flip over on its side. Fire-Rescue, Walterboro Police and Fire units responded. The two adults in the van were transported to Colleton Medical Center. Three of the teenagers ranging in age from 15 to 19 were transported to CMC, while a 19 year old male with significant injuries was transported by Fire-Rescue Medic 19 to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical in Summerville. Traffic at the busy intersection was blocked for an hour. Walterboro Police are investing the crash.  

Medic 1, Medic 19, Medic 26, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
