12/August/2016 – MVC with Overturned Vehicle – “A” Shift

Incident # 16-05249 – Four people were injured in a two vehicle MVC at the intersection of Bells Hwy and Upchurch Lane in front of Zaxby’s Restaurant Friday evening 12-August. At 20:54, an Infiniti QX4 SUV and a Ford Pickup truck collided causing the SUV to overturn blocking the two west bound lanes of Bells Hwy. Three teenagers in the SUV complained of injuries, with two being transported to Colleton Medical Center. One person in the pickup truck received minor injuries and denied ambulance transportation. Walterboro Police Officers directed traffic around the wrecked vehicles at the busy intersection for approximately 45 minutes until recovery crews removed the vehicles.

Medic 1, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded. Walterboro Engine 1 and Engine 3 responded.
