facility can provide food and shelter for the duration of the storm.
Pets are not allowed at the shelter, but they can be cared for by the
Colleton County Animal Shelter if the animal has been vaccinated against
rabies (you must bring verification documentation with the animal). Edisto Beach / Island Residents - The Advanced Life Support ambulance assigned to Edisto Island is being moved to an inland station at 5:00 PM today. You are strongly urged to evacuate now. If you are not in the evacuation zone, please prepare your home for extended power outages and delays in the response of fire, rescue, police, and emergency medical services. Call 9-1-1 for Emergencies Only! Do not call 9-1-1 to report power outages or for non-emergency issues. If you lose power, remember to keep electric generators OUTSIDE and away from any open windows or doors to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Also, do not burn charcoal indoors. |
