28/October/2016 – Fatal Gunshot Incident – “A” Shift

Incident # 16-07101 – Two people were injured, one fatally, at a residence located at 3549 Sidneys Road, north of Walterboro Friday night 28-October. At 23:04, 9-1-1 received a call from the residence advising two people had been shot by subjects who entered the home. Colleton Sheriff’s Deputies and Firefighter-Paramedics arrived within minutes to find an adult male deceased and an adult female in serious condition. Both suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Crews quickly treated the woman at the scene, then Fire-Rescue transported her emergent to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical in Summerville in Medic 19. The Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident.

Engine 19, Medic 13, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
