08/February/2017 – MVC with Entrapment – “B” Shift

Incident # 17-00855 – An adult female received non-life threatening injuries in a single car MVC on Charleston Hwy (SC Hwy 64) just west of Ritter Road. The east bound vehicle left the roadway in a curve, over corrected and skidded into the west bound ditch. The car encountered a deep mud bank and appeared to have flipped over. The driver was not able to exit the vehicle. Two dogs were also in the car. One receive minor injuries. Firefighters used Holmatro Rescue Tools to remove the driver’s door. The woman was treated for her injuries at the scene and denied ambulance transportation to the hospital. A family member picked her at the scene. The SC Hwy Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 2, Engine 6, Rescue 1, Medic 6, Battalion 1, Car 109 and Car 116 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
