23/March/2017 – MVC with Ejection – “C” Shift 

Incident # 17-01936 – An adult female was critically injured in a single car MVC on Sniders Hwy (SC Hwy 63) just east of Rentz Drive Thursday afternoon 23-March at 16:25. The west bound Chev. Malibu flipped over several times before coming to rest in the west bound lane. The unrestrained driver appears to have been ejected through the sunroof. Firefighter-Paramedics found the woman suffering from multiple traumatic injuries lying in the roadway. She was semi-conscious. Several bystanders were assisting the woman prior to the arrival of emergency responders. She was treated at the scene by Medic 1, then transported emergent to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center to meet with the LifeNet helicopter. She was flown to a Charleston Trauma Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 1, Medic 1, Car 107 and Car 109 responded. Firefighter-EMT Andy O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
