12/June/2017 – Structure Fire – “B” Shift Incident # 17-04002 – At 02:50 Monday 12-June, 9-1-1
received two reports of a fire at 2774 Mount Carmel Road. The first caller
reported a woods fire, the second caller reported a house was on fire.
Engine 26 arrived minutes later advising a single story wood structure had
already collapsed and was nearly burned out. The fire had apparently been
burning for quite some time before being noticed. Firefighter-Paramedics
deployed two handlines to extinguish the fire. Crews were on the scene for
approximately 2-1/2 hours. The home was being renovated and was vacant. The
structure was completely destroyed. Engine 26, Engine 27, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26,
Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton
served as Incident Commander. |
