16/June/2017 – Aircraft Response Training

Staff members participated in Aircraft Response Training the week of 12-June through 16-June at the Lowcountry Regional Airport. The Training Division utilized our aircraft prop so Firefighters could practice removal of patients from the interior of the plane and train on the extinguishment of landing gear fires. The training involved the safe extrication of the pilots and passengers from the tight confines of the aircraft and familiarization with the crafts components. Firefighters used ARFF 19 to practice on simulated landing gear fires.
