15/November/2017 – Car vs Motorcycle MVC – “C” Shift

Incident # 17-07876 – Two people were injured after a motorcycle and passenger car collided at the intersection of Sidneys Road and Chestnut Drive. The northbound motorcycle struck the passenger side of the southbound car as car turned onto Chestnut Drive. The motorcycle driver was ejected and landed on the roadway. He suffered multiple injuries, but was conscious at the scene. The driver of the car also received injuries in the crash. Two Fire-Rescue ambulances responded to the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics treated both patients before transporting them to Colleton Medical Center for further care. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. The Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control.  

Engine 19, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape served as Incident Commander.
