06/December/2017 – MVC with Entrapment – “C” Shift 

Incident # 17-08341 - A 43 year old Allendale woman received multiple traumatic injuries in a single car crash on Confederate Hwy. (SC Hwy 641) Wednesday 06-December at 10:40. The Dodge Dakota Pickup Truck left the roadway at a high rate of speed and began to flip over. The small truck struck a tree roof first, crushing the roof into the interior and trapping the driver. Firefighter-Paramedics used a reciprocating saw and several prybars to force open the door to free the woman. She was treated for her injuries then transported to Colleton Medical Center for further care. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 18, Engine 23, Medic 13, Rescue 1 and Rescue 18 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape served as Incident Commander.
