|  | 12-December-2017 – Apparatus MVC – “C” Shift Incident # 17-08509 – While parked at the scene of a 
	structure fire at 11515 Mt. Carmel Road Tuesday evening 12-December, 
	Battalion 1’s vehicle was struck by a passing motorist. The force of the 
	impact pushed the Pickup truck from the shoulder of the southbound lane into 
	the ditch of the northbound lane. No one was in the Fire vehicle at the time 
	of the accident and several units had already cleared the scene. The Jeep 
	that struck the truck received heavy front end damage and blocked one lane 
	of Mount Carmel Road. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the 80 year old female 
	driver and called for Medic 26 to respond back to the scene to transport her 
	to Colleton Medical Center. The woman received non-life threatening 
	injuries. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
	 Engine 7, Tender 27, Medic 26, Car 27, Car 107 and Car 
	112 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape served as Incident Commander.  |
