15/February/2018 – Structure Fires – “A” Shif

Incident # 18-01169 – Firefighters made a quick knock down on a well involved structure fire located at 188 Bedon Road Wednesday morning 15-February at 10:41. The occupants closed the doors to the rooms which helped contain the fire to the room of origin. Engine 19 deployed multiple handlines and quickly brought the fire under control, saving the residence. The room suffered heavy damage, but the remainder of the house was saved.

Engine 1, Engine 9, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 27, Medic 9, Medic 19 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Joey Campbell served as Incident Commander.

Incident # 18-01170 – A stove fire damaged the kitchen of a mobile home located at 386 Flint River Court, Wednesday morning 15-February at 11:11. County Firefighters were still engaged in suppressing a structure fire on Bedon Road. Engine 13 arrived to find smoke coming from the singlewide mobile home. The occupant had covered the stove with dirt to extinguish the fire before Engine 13 arrived. Firefighters used a PPV fan to remove smoke from the home and a Thermal Imaging Camera to check for any fire extension.

Engine 8, Engine 13, Tender 6, Tender 8, Tender 13, Medic 13 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
