24/February/2018 – Shooting Incident – “B” Shift

Incident # 18-01366 – At 09:01, 9-1-1 Dispatchers began receiving reports of a person shot at 33 Campground Road at the Motel 6. Law Enforcement arrived quickly and cleared the scene for other responders. An adult male patient was found unresponsive inside one of the rooms. Firefighter-Paramedics from Medic 1 evaluated the man, but he had no signs of life. The Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. Walterboro Police Officers are investigating the homicide which may have been related to a domestic dispute. The Coroner’s Office transported the body.

Medic 1, Battalion 1, Car 112, Car 118 and Walterboro Fire Dept. responded. Chief McRoy served as Incident Commander.
