03/March/2018 – Emergency Services Softball Tournament

Fire-Rescue hosted the annual Emergency Services Softball Tournament at the Colleton Recreation Complex Saturday 03-March. Eight teams participated this year including Jasper County Fire-Rescue, Dorchester County Fire-Rescue, Burton Fire,  Mt. Pleasant Fire-Rescue, St. Johns Fire-Rescue, City of Charleston Fire-Dept., Boeing Fire Dept. and Colleton County Fire-Rescue. Teams competed most of the day and the winner was St. John’s Fire-Rescue. Jasper County took the second place trophy. C.A.R.E. Flight (Med Trans Corp) donated the food for the event. The tournament raised over $2200 which will be split between the MUSC Burn Children’s Fund and the Carolina Children’s Charity. Teams began playing at 09:00 and finished about 18:30. The event was coordinated by Lt. Brian Drew and Firefighter-EMT Robbie McAlhaney.
