15/July/2018 – Shooting Incident – “B” Shift

Incident # 18-04881 – A 24 year old man was shot in the head in the 100 block of Francis Street at 15:43 Sunday afternoon 15-July. Law Enforcement arrived quickly and cleared the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later and rapidly treated and stabilized the man. No medical helicopters were immediately available, so the man was transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 directly to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. His condition deteriorated enroute. Walterboro Police Officers are investigating the incident. Sheriff’s Deputies assisted with crowd control. 

Engine 19, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded.
