16/July/2018 – Hostage Incident with Injury – “C” Shift 

Incident # 18-04901 – The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office and Walterboro Police Dept safely captured a male suspect involved in a shooting incident the previous day on Francis St. Fire-Rescue units stood by during the incident and Tactical Medics assisted the SWAT entry team. The incident took place in the 300 block of Cleveland Street, Monday afternoon 16-July at 15:30. Law Enforcement Officers blocked Cleveland Street and surrounded the house. The suspect had one hostage in the residence and Law Enforcement eventually talked the man into surrendering. He exited the home and was arrested without incident. The female hostage received injuries. She was treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics, then transported to Colleton Medical Center for further treatment of her injuries.
