19/July/2018 – Fall with Air Evac – “C” Shift Incident # 18-04975 – An adult male was injured when he
fell from a roof in the 200 block of Wetsell Street Thursday morning 19-July
at 08:06. The man was installing a new roof on a residence when he
accidently fell from the roof receiving multiple traumatic injuries and a
head injury. The man was treated at the scene by a Physician and Nurse prior
to the arrival of Firefighter-Paramedics. He was stabilized at the scene,
then transported emergent with additional personnel on board to the helipad
at Colleton Medical Center to meet with the C.A.R.E. Flight helicopter. The
patient was transferred to the Flight Crew and flown to the Trauma Center at
Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. Medic 1, Battalion 1 and Car 105 responded. Battalion
Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander. |
