|  | 30/July/2018 – MVC with Entrapment & Air Evac – “B” 
	Shift Incident # 18-05252 – Two adult males were injured in a 
	single vehicle MVC on I-95 near the 39 mile marker southbound Monday morning 
	30-July at 09:13. Colleton Fire-Rescue units were sent to the 40 mile 
	marker, but located the accident near the 39 mile marker in Hampton County. 
	The southbound pickup truck which was towing a camper left the roadway, went 
	down an embankment and struck several trees receiving heavy damage. 
	Firefighter-Paramedics from Station # 13 began treating the men. The 
	passenger was trapped in the wreckage with the dash crushed down on his 
	legs. Hampton County Fire Units and EMS also responded. Colleton 
	Firefighters used Holmatro Rescue Tools to extricate the passenger. The side 
	door was removed and two hydraulic rams were used to displace the dash off 
	of the patient. He was extricated with full spinal precautions, then turned 
	over to Hampton EMS. The patient suffered multiple traumatic injuries and 
	was flown to a Trauma Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the 
	crash.  Engine 13, Medic 13, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Car 110 
	responded. Hampton County Fire-Rescue and Hampton EMS also responded. 
	Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Rescue Coordinator.  |
