09/Sept/2018 – MVC with Air Evac – “C” Shift Incident # 18-06268 – Two men were injured, one
critically, in a single vehicle roll-over accident in the 600 block of
Langdale Road that occurred Sunday morning 09-September at 00:57. The car
was traveling at a high rate of speed and attempting to elude Law
Enforcement when it went off the road several times and overturned. One
person was initially trapped in the wreckage, but Firefighter-Paramedics
were able to extricate him without the use of power tools. Two Fire-Rescue
Ambulances responded to the scene. One patient was taken to Colleton Medical
Center with none life threatening injuries. The second was in critical
condition and was transported to the helipad at CMC and transferred to the
C.A.R.E. Flight crew. He was flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Engine 19, Medic 6, Medic 26, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and
Car 112 responded. Captain Gary Nahrstedt served as Incident Commander. |
