29/September/2018 – Fatal MVC – “B” Shift 

Incident # 18-06779 – A 25 yr old Walterboro man died in a single car MVC on Mt. Carmel Road at Can City Road Saturday morning 29-September. The accident was reported to 9-1-1 at 07:26 and Fire-Rescue units arrived minutes later to find the driver with no signs of life. The vehicle had been traveling north on Mt. Carmel Road when it failed to negotiate a curve. The Lexus sedan struck the embankment and landed in a field. The accident evidently occurred sometime during the night and was not discovered until day break. The motor on the car was cold. The Coroner’s Office was called to the scene and transported the man. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Firefighter-EMT Josh Blasko served as Incident Commander.
