10/November/2018 – Auto vs Pedestrian – “ C” Shift

Incident # 18-07836 – A single car MVC occurred in the 4300 block of Jefferies Hwy. Saturday evening 10-November at 23:48. An east bound Crown Victoria on Winchester Driver failed to stop at Jefferies Highway, crossed the four lanes and entered the ditch. The car came to rest upright after striking a tree. The adult male driver exited the vehicle and made his way back up on to Jefferies Highway where he attempted to flag down a vehicle on the dark highway. The man was struck by a northbound car. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man lying in the roadway with a possible fracture to one leg and other non-life threatening traumatic injuries. He was treated at the scene, then transported by Fire-Rescue Medic 19 to Colleton Medical Center. No one in the car that hit him was injured. SCHP is investigating the crash.  

Engine 19, Medic 19, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
