22/November/2018 – Mutual Aid MVC with Air Evac – “C” Shift

Incident # 18-08150 – Medic 7 responded as mutual aid for Bamberg County EMS for a 18 yr old that struck a tree while riding a motorcycle in the 15500 block of Hunters Chapel Road Thursday morning 22-November at 11:05. The teenager received multiple traumatic injuries including a life threatening head injury. He was treated at the scene then transported to the Carter’s Ford Baptist Church to meet with the Med-Trans Meducare Helicopter. The patient was RSI’ed prior to being flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. Bamberg County Fire units and Colleton County Unit 25 set up the Landing Zone.

Medic 7, Car 105 and Car 112 responded. Colleton Engine 23 also responded to the LZ but was cancelled while enroute due to Bamberg Units already being on the scene. Deputy Chief David Greene served as LZ Coordinator.
