02/February/2019 – CERT Basic Training – “C” Shift

Six people completed the Colleton County Fire-Rescue Emergency Management Division's (EMD) Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training on 02-February.  Julie Dimitrov instructed the course.  On the last day of class, students put into action what they learned throughout the course. With the assistance of Fire-Rescue staff and Explorers at Station 19, the class participated in a mock cribbing exercise, extinguished a fire, worked together to carry a victim in a blanket, and worked through triage scenarios. The following members completed the course: Faith Blatter, Jeraldo Brown, Dawn Munro, Deanna Munro, Edwin Robinson, and Tim Hamilton. Welcome to the team!
