16/March/2019 – Structure Fire – “C” Shift

Incident # 19-01771 – A fire in the kitchen heavily damaged a singlewide mobile home at 184 Geology Lane Saturday evening 16-March at 19:39. The fire started on the stove and spread to the cabinets eventually entering the living room. Firefighters arrived to find smoke visible from all sides of the residence and deployed one 1-3/4 handline to the building. Crews encountered flames inside the residence, but quickly knocked down the fire containing it to the two rooms. The remainder of the home suffered smoke and heat damage, but many personal belongings were saved. All of the occupants were able to safely exit the mobile home. Crews were on the scene for two hours.

Engine 19, Engine 26, Tender 1, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 26, Medic 9, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 105. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
