25/March/2019 – Structure Fire – “C” Shift

Incident # 19-02052 – A large storage building was destroyed at 152 Candlelight Road Monday evening 25-March. The incident was reported at 20:52 when the homeowner discovered the 20x20 building ablaze. Engine 19 arrived to find the wood frame building with tin siding fully involved threatening one vehicle. Engine 19 deployed it’s deckgun and quickly knocked down the fire saving the collectable car. Crews deployed two handlines to extinguish the fire and spent about 1-1/2 hours removing the contents to completely extinguish the fire. Everything inside the building was destroyed. The cause of the fire was of a suspicious origin. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Engine 19, Engine 26, Tender 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
