03/May/2019 – EOC Drill

Fire-Rescue held a Table Top Exercise Friday morning 03-May at the County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on Simmons Street. The drill involved response and recovery efforts for a Hurricane Strike. Thirty seven people from twenty five agencies attended the exercise which concentrated on testing the community’s ability to respond to a large scale disaster and the recovery side following the storm. The drill began at 0900 and was concluded by 1300. Rocky Tucker, the Regional Emergency Manager from State Emergency Management Division, assisted with the drill. The State’s annual REM Drill will be held in June and will cover only the recovery efforts. Fire-Rescue is appreciative of our ESF partners who are instrumental in ensuring the safety of Colleton County citizens.
