25/June/2019 – High Speed MVC – “C” Shift

Incident # 19-04384 – An adult female was critically injured in a single vehicle MVC in the 2100 block of Confederate Hwy (SC Hwy 641) Tuesday morning 25-June at 09:19. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch embankment and several trees injuring the female driver. Firefighter-Paramedics quickly treated her multiple traumatic injuries at the scene, then rapidly transported her to the ED at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro to be stabilized. She was later flown by the C.A.R.E. Flight helicopter to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 23 and Medic 18 responded. Captain Mathew Owen Williams, Jr. served as Incident Commander.
