18/July/2019 – Golf Cart MVC with Fire – “A” Shift

Incident # 19-04955 – An adult male received minor injuries after the golf cart he was operating collided with a passenger car at the intersection of Railroad St and Kimbrell St Thursday afternoon 18-July at 13:46. Following the collision, the small car crashed into a wooded area and the Golf Cart caught fire in the intersection. The driver of the car was not injured and the golf cart driver was ejected but fortunately only suffered minor injuries. He was treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics but did not require transportation to the hospital. The Golf Cart was destroyed in the fire. SCHP is investigating the crash.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Firefighter-EMT Paul Bagley served as Incident Commander.
