20/July/2019 – High Speed MVC – “C” Shift

Incident # 19-05022 - An adult male was transported to Colleton Medical Center following a head-on collision on Bells Hwy (SC Hwy 64) just west of Confederate Hwy. (SC Hwy 641) Saturday afternoon 20-July at 17:07. One vehicle crossed the center line and struck the other causing heavy damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Ford Taurus was not injured. Fire-Rescue Medic 26 transported the driver of the GMC pickup truck to the medical center for evaluation. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours assisting with traffic control. Bells Highway was closed in the area of the accident for about two hours.  SCHP is investigating the accident.

Engine 23 and Medic 18 responded. Capt. Doug Mixson, Jr. served as Incident Commander.
