10/August/2019 – Auto vs Pedestrian – “C” Shift

Incident # 19-05575 – An adult male received multiple traumatic injuries after being struck by a car in the 1100 block of Bells Hwy near Kimbrell Street Saturday evening 10-August at 20:32. The man was found lying in an east bound travel lane. Firefighter-Paramedics treated his injuries at the scene. No helicopters could fly due to poor weather conditions. He was transported emergent by Fire-Rescue Medic 26 to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. No one in the car was injured. The Walterboro Police Dept is investigating the accident.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Walterboro Fire Dept responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
