15/December/2019 – High Speed MVC – “A” Shift 

Incident # 19-08708 – Two adults were sent to the Trauma Center following a single vehicle, high speed MVC on Wesley Grove Road near Sawdust Trail Sunday evening 15-December at 19:35. The 2003 Ford Explorer left the road, drove into a wooded area and struck several trees causing heavy damage to the small SUV. Both occupants, an adult female and an adult male suffered multiple traumatic injuries. Fire-Rescue Medic 9 requested a second ambulance shortly after arrival. Both patients were quickly treated at the scene, then transported emergent in Medic 9 and Medic 19 to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in North Charleston. Additional Firefighter-Paramedics assisted with patient care while enroute to the hospital. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

Engine 19, Rescue 1, Medic 9, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Firefighter-EMT Shane Weber served as Incident Commander.
